Cactus is a custom information management system that we provide to our customers. This secure web-based system allows our customers access to accurate, timely, and complete information 24/7. We employ the most current technological storage capabilities in order to offer state-of-the-art software archival and database management services. Cactus provides many services, including Software Configuration Management and Design Standards Management.
Keeping Track of Your Equipment:
Follows equipment through its entire life cycle – From acquisition to retirement, associate an item with a location and to other equipment. CACTUS makes documenting installation, replacement and removal easier by allowing items to move with or without their sub-components.
Managing Your Signal Software:
Maintains software versions and simulations – Both site-specific and generic software can be included and associated with locations in the system, thus complying with the FRA rule 49 CFR Section 236.18 – Software Management Control. Cactus allows for identification of executive and application software name, revision, date of software revision, cyclic redundancy check (CRC) to verify PROM contents, and any other required information at each location.
Easy FRA Test Management:
A Maintainer in the field can capture test results and generate a test form. Printed forms can be produced for all tests at a location, as blank test form with location information pre-populated or a report of all the completed tests at a location within a specified date range.
Aids in FRA Regulation Compliance by displaying the priority of upcoming tests with a color coded system; ensuring tests are completed in a timely manner. A summary list of pending tests can be shown ordered by due date so no time is wasted at a location and unnecessary return trips can be avoided.

The “Dashboard” helps productivity – By grouping custom report links, graphs, and charts on the opening page. Everything is at your fingertips, only a click away. This tool makes important information immediately visible.
Searches ensure efficiency –The system will tell you where an equipment revision is eliminating tedious manual searches and potential loss of valuable man hours. Example: If a manufacturer recalls a relay, CACTUS will pinpoint the relay locations, insuring quick and accurate replacements.
Offline and Mobile Devices – Due to connectivity limitation, maintainers cannot always be online. CACTUS allows the offline user to download required data required and make the changes needed. Data captured offline can be uploaded. This ensures a single source of data which avoids redundancies.
